A Kenya Defense Force Officer was reported to have been killed by a group of police officers. The murder of the soldier came minutes after he committed a murder crime. The soldier had gone to his girlfriend' s house in Kitui at around 7am in the morning. Most of the lady' s neighbor knew that the two were dating and they had seen the two together for long.

According to one of the neighbors who witnessed the two murder cases, he heard the two lovers have a heated argument. The officer who had just come from his working place at the Mariakani barracks accused his lover to be having an affair with another man whom he did not know.

The two argued for sometime and later on a gunshot was heard coming from the house. This really terrified the neighbors and they had to come to the scene to confirm whatever was happening.

They saw the lady running out of the house with her hand bleeding. Before she could hide at one of her neighbor' s house, the officer again shot her on the chest killing her on the spot. The soldier then went back to the lady' s house and locked himself up after knowing that the angry neighbors were coming to kill him.

Police officers were given a call and they rushed to the scene. They ordered the suspect to come out of the house but he didn' t. This forced all the officers to gang up and break the door to the house. After gaining entry into the dinning room, the suspect was still not ready to cooperate forcing them to try to break another door only for the suspect to shoot back at them.

All the officers shot at the bathroom door and they were sure that the officer was already dead after seeing some blood flowing from the bathroom to the drainage. They then opened the door and found his body together with the gun he used in the murder. The two bodies were then taken to the Kitui referral hospital.
