The immediate impact of the youngster

Willia Saliba spent three year spell on loan now he has made an immediate impact this season after returning from his successful loan spell at Marseille and has quickly established himself as one of Mikel Arteta’s standout performers.

The 21-year-old has forged a solid partnership alongside Gabriel at the heart of Arsenal’s defence and is now challenging to win a place in France’s World Cup squad.

But Jenas feels Saliba’s performances this season have upstaged Gabriel, who gave away the penalty in Arsenal’s 3-1 win over Tottenham on Saturday.

‘I just feel like Saliba has elevated the level that it’s just exposed Gabriel a little bit,’ Jenas told Vibe with Five.

‘He’s [Gabriel] still very good, he’s still a very good centre-half.

Gabriel Magalhaes conceded the penalty in Arsenal's 3-1 win over Tottenham

‘But all of a sudden you’re looking at Saliba and you’re going, ‘we need another one of you’.

‘He’s [Gabriel] still doing his job, he made a big impact last year.

‘I think they’re still a bit light, I look at their midfield I think they’re a little bit light. At the minute I think they are performing at their highest level, and there’s only one way to go.’

Is it true that Saliba has made or has shown the weaknesses of Gabriel Magalhaes?
