Ruto Visits Harambee House Office For The First Time Since His Inauguration

The President on Tuesday visited the Harambee House Office for the first time since his inauguration on September 13, 2022.

 

The yellow presidential standard associated with President Ruto was flying on top of the building symbolizing his presence.

 

Harambe House Office

Harambee Office is the Executive Office of the sitting President.

 

The Head of State proceeded to the Harambe Office soon after launching the Nairobi Securities Exchange marketplace.

 

The Ministry of Interior and National Administration is also housed in Harambee House Office.

 

The Ministry will be headed by former Tharaka Nithi Senator Kithure Kindiki who was nominated and awaits vetting.

 

The former Tharaka Nithi Senator awaits vetting by the National Assembly Committee on Appointments.

 

If approved, Kindiki will succeed Fred Matiangi who was at the helm of the docket since 2017.

 

The Ministry of Public Service, Gender, and Affirmative Action is also housed in the building. The Ministry will be headed by former Malindi MP Aisha Jumwa.

 

The National Assembly was this week scheduled to constitute the committee ahead of vetting of the nominees.

 

All the 22 nominees are expected to have been vetted by the House by October 27, 2022.

 

The Appointments Committee is subsequently expected to table its report before the House by November 3, 2022, approving or rejecting the nominees before being sworn into office.
