MUDAVADI BLASTS GACHAGUA FOR COMPLAINING TOO MUCH ANDY BLAMING UHURU

The Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi has slammed government officials for dwelling in the past instead of getting down to work.

In a thinly veiled attack on Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, Mudavadi said the time for complaining and the blame game was long over.

He challenged leaders to fulfil their campaign promises, however travailing it may seem.

“If we continue with the blame game, we are not helping the situation get better. Kenyans gave us power and it is time to stop the blame game because soon or later the currency of the blame game will end,” he said.

Gachagua has become synonymous with pointing fingers at the previous administration of Uhuru Kenyatta and it started at their inauguration when claimed that they inherited a dilapidated economy.

According to the second in command, Uhuru left the economy in a big mess and it may take years to put it back on track.

For example, he sensationally claimed thatm the new administration found just Ksh93 million in the Treasury coffers, a remark that was dismissed as baseless by former Treasury Cabinet Secretary Ukur Yatani.

Yatani explained that the government collects money and spends it on daily basis, therefore, the claim by Gachagua was ignorant.

The DP has also stated that the Kenya Kwanza government has revised the timelines for implanting its manifesto from the first 100 days to at least one year.

The country’s number two has also been attacking Azimio la Umoja leader Raila Odinga for lecturing their government.

While he believes a vibrant opposition is good to keep the government in check, he accuses the former Prime Minister of unfair criticism and trying to sabotage Ruto’s plan.
