Kalonzo's Message To Azimio Leaders
Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has advised Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition Party members against the use of violence during mass protests.
During a church service at the Missioners of Hope Christ Ministries in Utawala, Embakasi East Constituency, Kalonzo said violence will not solve the opposition's injustice.
"Tell our people, if you believe in the change you are looking for, don't believe in violence. Gaucho himself is injured. You cannot achieve anything through violence," Kalonzo said. His point of view came days after ODM leader Raila Odinga was quoted praising youth who engaged the police in a violent running battle.
After the Saba Saba demonstrations, Azimio leader Raila commented on youths for not giving up. "Today, youths have excited me a lot. They have done an exceptional job because when police were pitching teargas gannisters at you, you were tossing them back. When they blocked the way, youths still managed to find another route," Raila said.
