Wanga, a fervent admirer of Odinga who was running under the Azimio banner, vented her displeasure on social media Tuesday morning.

She advised her supporters to maintain their composure, continue to support Odinga, and to pray for him.

Gladys Wanga, the newly elected governor of Homa Bay, has urged members of the Azimio La Umoja One Kenya coalition to pray for their party's leader, Raila Odinga, after Monday night's release of the final results of the general election.

Wanga, a fervent admirer of Odinga who was running under the Azimio banner, vented her displeasure on social media Tuesday morning.

I understand that many of You are currently suffering from disappointment and a lack of understanding as a result of what happened yesterday. I share your disappointment because I am a fervent supporter of Baba. I'm hurt deeply personally, Wanga stated.

She advised her supporters to maintain their composure, continue to support Odinga, and to pray for him.

Let's support Baba wholeheartedly and pray for him in the interim, she said.

The governor-elect referred to the results of the polls as "electoral fraud," but he also revealed that the Azimio team was considering its next steps and made a probable petition against the presidential results clear.

"Our extremely capable legal team has told us that the irregularities, electoral fraud, and lack of transparency that Chairman Wafula Chebukati displayed throughout the Commission's proceedings would not be accepted,' The facts of business make yesterday's declaration untenable, Wanga continued.

"This problem is not over," she concluded after calling the electoral process "seriously flawed. There hasn't been a final statement made regarding it. The legal team has come together and will do all in their power to guarantee that the proper winner is announced.

Leaders associated with the Azimio coalition claim that fraud tainted the election.

According to the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission's results, Mr. Odinga, who was running for president on the party's platform, narrowly lost to William Ruto (IEBC).

Odinga received 6,942,930 votes, or 48.6% of the total votes cast, while Ruto received 7,176,141 votes, or 50.4%.

Wanga's remarks followed those of Odinga's running mate by just a few hours. Martha Karua, who suggested a strategy to contest Ruto's victory on Monday night.

It is not over until it is over, Karua tweeted shortly after Ruto's victory was declared official.

Odinga's chief agent, Saitabao Ole Kanchuri, claimed that the systems used by the electoral commission to tally the results of the presidential contest were compromised prior to the official announcement by the electoral body, just moments before Chebukati announced the final results of the presidential election.

A petition contesting the outcome of the presidential election must be submitted within seven days after the IEBC's announcement of the results.

The Supreme Court states that the petition will be decided 14 days after it was filed.
