Powerful Persons In The Country Who Cannot Be Arrested By DCI Or Police Officers

Police officers in the country have maintaining law and order as their prime constitutional duty. This is despite the fact that some can be good whereas others can be inhumane. The government of Kenya has police officers under the Executive arm whereby after making their arrests, police officers are required to forward these suspected Kenyans to the Judiciary arm to be judged

However, not everyone around the country can be arrested by either normal Police officers or Directorate of Criminal Investigation officers. This includes a special group of individuals whereby police or DCI risk loosing their jobs for good if they mistakenly arrest them with or without proof. Not that these individuals are above the law but there is a special procedure to be followed or order from the President is the only thing that can warrant their arrests

This is in accordance to Chapter 61 of the National Police Service Standing Orders where it is well explained. These individuals who cannot be arrested by DCI or normal police officers includes Representatives from the United Nations, Accredited Diplomats who live in the country together with Administrative Staffs from Foreign Nations
