KQ Summons KALPA As Hypocritical, Holding Travellers At Ransom
KQ trashed claims by KALPA which indicated that the ongoing pilot's strike has seen only a few pilots reporting for duty, were issued on Sunday.
KQ instead clarified that 23 pilots are available and carrying out their duties, adding that KALPA officials are hesitant to a negotiating table and have even increased their demands.
"Officials of KALPA are spreading misinformation that KQ management is unavailable and unwilling to talk. On the contrary, KALPA officials have increased their demands showing unwillingness to negotiate through the issuance of "irreducible demands".
The Kenyan carrier further criticized the pilots association claiming that they are holding its passengers and the economy at ransom and need to return to work and they are open for deliberations.
