Hours before his arrival, Miguna Miguna's brother speaks

The exiled attorney Miguna Miguna's family is now counting down the minutes before they may see their loved one again.
On Thursday, October 20, at 6 a.m., Miguna, who was forcibly banished to Canada in March 2018, will arrive to the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.

Attorney Miguna's elder brother Erick Ondiek Miguna said in a statement from his Kisumu home that the family is looking forward to his return after nearly 5 years abroad.

“We were very pleased when he told us he has been issued with his passport and the red alert which was placed on him had been lifted. He told us he would board his flight to Kenya on 19th and land on 20th,” he said. 

Ondiek added that a number of his sisters, sons are traveling to Nairobi to receive the ‘General’ at the airport. 

“So many things happened during his absence, we lost so many people. He told us he would like to visit those graves when he comes back.”

He further thanked President William Ruto for lifting the red alert and allowing him to return to his homeland. 

“We really felt pain because when one of you is forced out and not allowed to come back home where he was born. And they allege he is not a Kenyan. We felt very bad , however we have forgiven because he is now allowed to come back. We are pleased and happy,” he said.

Miguna has requested that his Patriot followers show up on Thursday to see him at the airport.

I'll be arriving on the KQ Flight at 6AM, Patriots. 1st terminal On October 18, Miguna told them, "Cheers."
