Gladys Chania : Courts Allows Detectives to Detain for 7Days Politician Linked to Husband Death's
Senior resident magistrate Wilson Rading said Chania and Maurice Mbugua will appear in court on October 24 for further directions.
The duo appeared before the Kiambu court on Monday, October 17, following their arrest.
Officers from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations arrested the ex-Kiambu woman representative aspirant for the murder of her husband.
Kiambu police said Chania is the prime suspect in the murder of her spouse, whose lifeless body was found dumped in Kieni forest in Gatundu North.
According to a report by the detective agency, Mwangi was home for the holidays and was brutally murdered in his own bedroom by people close to him.

"Had engineer George Mwangi, a Rwanda-based contractor known that he would return home for holiday to be brutally murdered in his own bedroom by people close to him, then he would have most likely opted to remain in Kigali," DCI narrated.
