Eddy Kenzo biography

Edrisah Kenzo Musuuza was born on 25th December 1989 in

Masaka, Uganda . His parents were the late parents Hassan

Kiwalabye (father) and Angela Nyantale (mother). He has not

offered any information about his siblings.

His mother passed away when he was only four years old. As

a result, he was forced to spend his childhood and

teenagehood in the streets of Masaka and Kampala. He lived

there from the age of five to 18 years.

While growing up, he was passionate about becoming a

professional football player. Therefore, at the age of nine, he

joined Masaka Local Council's Football Club. Later, he was

awarded a bursary for joining Lubiri Secondary School in

Kampala even though he dropped out before sitting for the

national examination.

Career

The singer began his music career in 2008 under the name

Eddy Kenzo. He released his debut song, Yannimba featuring

Mikie Winnie. Two years later, he released his second single,

Stamina. The song became a national hit as many politicians

used it as a theme song during the 2011 Ugandan national

elections.
