CHRISTIANITY IS NOT A RELIGION.

CHRISTIANITY IS NOT A RELIGION.

*

For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. Roman 5:10.

The death and resurrection of Jesus from the grave is the foundation of Christianity. Therefore, it brings us into reconciliation with God and creates a relationship and intimacy with God. In the light of the above, Christianity is a relationship with God and an experience with the divine life and not a religion with dos

and don’ts.

It is a call into a profitable relationship with the one that loves you and sacrifices His life for you. He is now an elder brother who has opened the way for you to express your love and devotion to the Lord and also feed from the

goodness and benevolence of God the Father. The Lord

Jesus has done a lot and He is ever willing to do more. This is what Christianity calls us to enjoy and not to follow rules and regulations alone.

In this relationship, He promised never to leave us nor forsake us. So, it is our prerogative to reciprocate by responding by our love and partner with Him and not to be stereotyped in a relationship that is only parasitic. Religion compels you only to certain practices or dos and don’ts, etc. just only to please and satisfy a God that you are very far

with. In every relationship, both parties are bound and

obligated to responsibilities that make the relationship

fruitful and productive.

Therefore, there is a call into fellowship, relationship,

intimacy and love but not compelled to rules and regulation alone or by following a methodology that seeks to assuage

the conscience.

*Thought for today:* The Christian life is about enjoying a relationship with God.

*Assignment:* Find ways to enjoy the love of God and not expect punishment alone from God.

*Further reading:* James 1:27 2 Pet. 3:14.

*Pr I'mayer:* Father, give me the grace to worship you in line with the will of God
