Chebukati’s Wife Shortlisted For PS Post.

The PSC, in a statement on Thursday, said the 477 applicants had been selected out 9,154 people who applied for the recently advertised positions.

In a list of 477 individuals who have been shortlisted for the 49 posts of Principal Secretaries (PS) by the Public Service Commission (PSC), Mary Chebukati, the wife of Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) Chairman Wafula Chebukati, is very conspicuous. 

A number of PS' who served under former President Uhuru Kenyatta's administration also made the shortlist for the positions whose interviews will be conducted from between October 12 and October 22, 2022.

Former PSs Shortlisted

They include; Fred Sigor (Wildlife), Nelson Marwa (Social Protection), Margaret Mwakimu (TVET), Charles Hinga (Housing), Jerome Ochieng (ICT and Innovation), Francis Owino (Agriculture), Saitoti Torome (Planning), Julius Jwan (Education), Susan Mochache (Health) and Belio Kipsang (Northen Corridor Development).

Peter Kaberia (Industrialisation), Esther Koimett (Telecommunications), Dr. Chris Kiptoo (Environment and Forestry), Micah Powon (Devolution), Simon Nasbukwesi (Education), Andrew Tuimur (Water and Sanitation), Ali Noor Ismail (Co-operatives)  Joseph Irungu (Water and Sanitation) and Education CAS Sarah Ruto likewise made the cut.

Health CAS Dr. Mercy Mwangangi and DG Dr. Patrick Amoth also Shortlisted

Health CAS Mercy Mwangangi and Director General for Health Dr. Patrick Amoth have also been shortlisted for the positions.

Former Narok Governor Samuel Tunai, Ex-Kisii County Deputy Governor Joash Maangi and former nominated Senator Isaac Mwaura were also featured on the list.

Some of President Ruto's allies who lost at the August 9th polls such as Lang’ata MP Nixon Korir and his Kiminini counterpart Chris Wamalwa will also be considered for the slots.

Ex-Wajir West MP Ahmed Kolosh and former Isiolo Woman Rep Rehema Jaldesa were also nominated by the Public Service Commission.

Alfred Ombudo K'Ombudo and Dr. Irene Asienga, who played a vital role in formulating President William Ruto's bottom-up economic model as part of his economic team, have also been shortlisted for the PS slots alongside former EACC boss Halakhe Waqo. 

The PSC, in a statement on Thursday, said the 477 applicants had been selected out 9,154 people who applied for the recently advertised positions.

The commission said that the list containing the full names will be published on its website and later in local dailies on Friday.

It further noted that interviews will be conducted in Nairobi before the final list of successful candidates is forwarded to President William Ruto for appointment.

Kenyans now await an array of interviews that will be conducted by the Public Service Commission (PSC) begining 12th through 22 October.
