THE FUTURE KING KNOWS HOW TO CRACK A JOKE

THE FUTURE KING KNOWS HOW TO CRACK A JOKE

England's Prince George may be the future King but he has a reputation of being a bit of a joker. From looking like a football coach at Wimbledon to cracking jokes with his dad at the Queen's Jubilee celebrations, George is hilarious.

One woman was on the receiving end of a Prince George classic when she was out for a walk with her dog. She came across the prince and his grandmother Carole Middleton in Berkshire, and saw George playing with his younger sister Princess Charlotte.

“I was asked by a police minder not to take a photo of the children, which I didn’t, but George started stroking my dog. Just to be friendly I engaged in a bit of small talk and I asked George what his name was, even though obviously I knew it," the woman told the Sun.

She continued: "To my astonishment he said ‘I’m called Archie’ with a big smile on his face. I don’t know why he calls himself Archie but kids often play with their names and I think it’s lovely.”

The prince, who is second in line to the throne, reportedly has a number of nicknames, while his middle names are Alexander and Louis. In fact, when the prince told the dog walker his fake name, little did he know at the time that he would go on to have a cousin, also called Archie.

The sassy remark from George came in January 2019, while the son of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle was born five months later in May 2019. His full name is Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor.

There have been rumours that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex named their son after the classic American comic books 'Archie', but Meghan recently confirmed this was not the case.

Speaking on her podcast, she said: “I was alone so much as a child, right, and also a latchkey kid, and I think I read a lot of Archie comic books ironically. My son is not named after Archie comic books, but I loved them. I collected them."
